can i install drivers inside sandboxie?

Hi

i need some paper profiles icc that are included only with the printer drivers

they use this printer in a lab

the printer is a epson PRO 9800

can i install the drivers inside the sandboxie without issue?

in short keep all inside the sandboxie , grab the paper profiles ?

i use the last version of sandboxie and windows 7 64bit

IIRC drives are Sandboxie are not compatible.

 

Mantra, you can not install programs that install drivers in the sandbox.

sadly the paper profiles come insde an exe zipped files

should i use a virual box?

 

Mantra, if what you need is inside a RAR or Zip file, you can run it sandboxed and only take out of the sandbox what you need.

i need only the paper profiles but they are included in the zip file
for example _https://ftp.epson.com/drivers/epson12538.exe
i can open with winrar ,i can decompress in a folder
but to grab the profiles i need to install the program , and seening i don't have this printer ,i would like to install inside sandboxie

 

Then perhaps, run the installer in a sandbox. The installation will fail, you ll get errors but if it runs though, you might be able to get the files that you need out of the sandbox by going (before deleting the sandbox) to the Sandbox folder in C drive and search for them. I think you might be able to get what you want.

Hi Mantra, I don't know what a paper profile is but if it is a "file", then you can pick it out of the sandbox folder after running the installer.

If you run this installer, the installation will fail but perhaps some files will show up in the C/Sandbox folder after you run the installer. Is the paper profile a file?
