    Hi
I was scanning with Revo for junk files and it found a file about 2,65 GB (2.850.209.792 byte)

    it's in the folder C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports
in that folder there are 3 subfolder and 1 file
    USBHUB3\
    WATCHDOG\
win32k.sys\ -> there are 3 files with dmp extension about 700kb
    win32k.sys-20190120-1022.dmp in the folder C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports
on several site there is that could be deleted ,but not inside C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports\win32k.sys\
disk cleanup doesn't include such files
    is safe to delete it?

    thanks

You can delete any .dmp file.

deleting is futile if you dont know why it crashes.

get windbg from the sdk and investigate the reason.
it has reason(s) why win32 crashes, thats truly not normal.

No offense intended to anyone but someone that doesn't know if they can delete the file isn't going to have any clue of what to do with the contents. Plus, based on the filename it is from 2019, making it pretty worthless now.

You probably need to elevate as admin. Nothing beyond that, I just deleted a file from that folder myself. Just a UAC prompt.

+1. C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports is always empty on my machines as Privacy Eraser cleans it without any subsequent issues, for a long time yet. CCleaner also cleans .dmp files.

I don't recall exactly, already passed a couple of years since then, but I think there was a CCleaner addon that did that.

    thx for pointing out.
either this, but for windows folder windows should popup the UAC dialog in any case. before or after when asking for the admin password dialog if regular user. (dont know exactly)
same bad tool as ccleaner. my win11 never seen such crappy software and is running&working like hell. bit overkill to remove a single crash DuMP file, aint it?
