    Hi all!

I'd like to ask your advice and would like you to share your experience in using firewalls. I wonder whether it is safe to use Comodo Firewall Pro simultaneously with PeerGuardian 2.0 RC1 Test 2 without any unpleasent consequences. Are there likely to be any conflicts if both programmes are installed? Can PeerGuardian 2.0 RC1 Test 2 be considered a full-bodied firewall?

Thank you all for your future replies!

    Hi Windfresh.

No. PeerGuardian, ProtoWall and such are just IP blockers and will complement any firewall. They will block all connections from certain IPs - government and educational institutions, known spyware and malware sites based on preconfigured IP blacklists which are maintained by Bluetack. I found both somewhat unstable (PotoWall more so) the last time I tried them, but that was a while (several months) ago, so don't let that discourage you. Do try them alongside your Comodo firewall (since, once again, that's what they're meant for) and preferably report back. Hell, I may even try them myself once more.

    Cheers,
