i tend to use a usb drive for keeping my malicious files FOR TESTING on and one annoying thing so far about avira is everytime i plug it in it starts scanning and deleting the files off the drive. i maybe am missing it but is there a way to exclude it from scanning inserted media unless i want it to kind of like what eset does??

this is the one really annoying thing i am finding as i also have some no cd game patches that its doing the same thing with ...

    thanks

I don't know, you'll have to give it a try; just a sugestion (personally, that situation never aroused).

    Please post feedback.

That is probably a normal response though.

Been there done that. But most av scanners read via autoruns. If autoruns is disabled and you place a no autorun file on your USB stick using BitDefender USB Immunizer then Avira will not scan it. Every USB stick should be immunized to begin with. All 4 of mine are.

    I'm waiting for zfactor's experience.
In fact, I'm quite curious about it.
