    I am doing a full back up upon the end of a disk filling this msg appears

    Media status notification for drive E:\: Write failure while accessing the media.

    I hit ok and keep going the software says backup was successful log has no errors just wondering now if backup is corrupt and a restore won't work?

    Try running Acronis' Verify on the resulting image.

    Hello rcbmrb,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Could you please describe the issue in more details:

    1) What is the exact name of the product that you use? Could you please let us know the build number of the product, which you can find in the Help -> About dialog (it should be a 3 or 4 digit number)?
    2) Where you are trying to store the image (local hard drive, external hard drive, CD or DVD disc, etc)?
    3) Please clarify what error message you received and when you received this error message?

    Please also try the suggestion that made seekforever, namely, please verify the image archive using Check Archive tool (Tool -> Check Archive) of Acronis True Image and let us know the exact check-out result?

    Thank you.

    Hello rcbmrb,

    Please note that in order to verify\restore the image archive spanned over several CDs\DVDs you should insert the last created CD\DVD first (disc that contains the last volume of the image archive) and then follow the wizard's instructions. If the resulting image archive verifies successfully both when the latest build (2337) of Acronis True Image 9.0 is running from under Windows and when your computer is booted from Bootable Rescue CD created using the latest build (2337) of Acronis True Image 9.0 then there should not be any problems restoring this particular image archive. Whatever the result is, please let us know it.

    As for the error message that you receive when the disc fills up, please provide us with the following information:

    - Make a screen shot of this error message;

    - Let us know when exactly you receive this message;

    - Describe actions taken before the message appears step-by-step;

    - Create Acronis Report and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    Please also do the following:

    - Start command prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd);

    - Go to \Program Files\Common Files\Acronis\CDRecord folder;

    - Run "cdrecord –scanbus > scanbus.txt" command and collect the scanbus.txt file created.

    Please submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.
