I am using ess 5.0 to scan a password protected RAR file.
it contains something but eset show me there's nothing inside. At least please let the user know how many files in it and show the reason like "password protected" in the scan log.

It doesn't say there is nothing inside, just that it scanned 0 objects. It is probably unable to determine anything about the contents so it is unlikely it will display how many objects are contained. Though it may be fair to ask for it to give a message about it being password protected (a good idea actually) it may likely be impossible to give any information in addition to that.

    . . . . . . or, maybe the extension(s) of the file(s) could've been manually excluded by the User from being scanned. ;)
