When mail is waiting on a POP3 server, the Windows mail icon shows in the taskbar. Downloading the new mail in Thunderbird works fine. However, even after reading the new mail, the mail notification icon won't go away. Only after clicking "Get Mail" again, will the mail notification icon disappear.

Disabling "Inegrate into Mozilla Thunderbid" fixes this problem. So, clearly the problem is a SS bug.

Is this issue being looked into at all? I find it fairly annoying.
