I have been researching "Budget" Unlocked Android SmartPhones for some time now. I prefer to keep the price below $300. It is confusing because there are so many choices available. Please share what phone(s) you would select and why.

    Thanks in Advance.

    Planned Cell Use:

    Primarily as a phone.
    Limited texting.
Limited web browsing (The "budget" cell phone plan that I am considering has the speed throttled to 2G.)

LG L3 would be the best choice for your needs.

I think that I have given up on getting an "Unlocked" SmartPhone. It appears to me that most of the "Unlocked" SmartPhones do not support the T-Mobile 1,700 MHz 4G requirement. It is my understanding that the SmartPhone will still work if it does not support 1,700 MGz 4G, but the speed will drop to 2G. I am leaning toward getting the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G SmartPhone.

Unless you really need 4G support, there are many Chinese cell phones priced well under $300 with good specifications.

What screen size do you want?

    That is totally true.
Most unlocked phones and phones from other networks do not work with T-Mobile 4G. :D
I know because i used to work for customer service in the past. ;) ;)

Yesterday, I ordered T-Mobile's Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G SmartPhone. It is scheduled to arrive next Tuesday.
