ESET Business Edition (version 4.2.54.12) was recently installed on my laptop (Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit). Since the installation I have frequently gotten various BSoD errors. One BSoD indicated a problem in fastfat.sys another one said page fault in non-paged area. This seems to happen frequently when I mount TrueCrypt volumes (version 7.0). I have formatted my flash drive and created a new TrueCrypt volume to see if the errors were there. My first attempt to mount a fresh TrueCrypt volume created another BSoD.

    ESET Details:
    Virus signature database: 5538 (20101016)
    Update module: 1031 (20091029)
Antivirus and antispyware scanner module: 1287 (20101014)
    Advanced heuristics module: 1114 (20100827)
    Archive support module: 1122 (20100826)
    Cleaner module: 1048 (20091123)
    Anti-Stealth support module: 1021 (20100811)
    SysInspector module: 1216 (20100517)
    Self-defense support module : 1016 (20100404)
    Real-time file system protection module: 1004 (20100727)

Any help is appreciated as the IT department in my company has no clue what the issue is.

I forgot to mention that MSE was uninstalled when they installed ESET. Not sure if that makes a difference.

1, install the very latest version of EAV 4.2.64
2, BSOD might occur due to enabled verifier. Try running the following from the start menu/command prompt: "Verifier /reset"

We've been reported BSOD in conjunction with TrueCrypt where dumps pointed to a bug in truecrypt.sys. In case of persisting issues, I'd suggest contacting TrueCrypt support on this matter.

Ive updated and reset the verifier and no change. Most of the time I still get a BSoD while mounting a Truecrypt volume. Sometimes it will mount but the computer will crash a short while later.

Please configure Windows to generate a complete memory dump per the instructions here. When BSOD occurs and a dump is created, let me know so that I can provide you with instructions for uploading the dump.
