Brief introduction of EQSecure 3.3 bata

EQSecure is a free hips including AD/RD/FD functions, and which updated to the version 3.3 bata(suport english language).

EQSecure provide professional protection with flexible configuration and least loss of system performance. If you wanna try it, just follow these steps:

1. Go to http://www.eqspywatch.com/download/EQSysSecureSetup.exe , dowload and install the EQ 3.2 .

2. quite/exit the EQ3.2 .

3. Get the files of EQSecure 3.3 bata at http://www.eqsecure.com/download/V3.3_Beta.rar , copy the files to the installation folder , replace the older version files.

4. Reboot computer, and installation is complete. If EQ3.3 bata is in use,u can choose language among "English" "Simplified chinese" and"Traditional chinese".

Useage method: Exit EQ first, copy"EQSysSecure.xml" in the bag to the installation folder, and replace the old one.

As, this is a totally free software by now, the tech suport may be quite poor, while surely more bugs will be discoverd .

 

As there is no official english version of EQSecure, the introdution above is written by myself. Ican't find any "readme" file elsewhere on internet.
I don't know if I explained clearly, sorry for any possible errors .

 

Another new HIPS! Let's see if this can run without issue ok? It;s going to have to share with SSM/KIS6/ST and a few others so if it can run with minimum interference you'll be hereing my feedback shortly.

I don't sleep and and when i do it's during daylight hours mostly so i have till sunup to examine it.

Nice program, strong defense capabilities, like Neoava Guard.

I was able to set the language to english by deleting the TW file in the language folder.

I have installed it, only the default rules when you allow a program ( or registry) to run (be changed) are to wide. I entered my own defense mode, which worked fine for monitoring or blocking, but the allow and ask + allow options gave the allowed program more rights than I had defined in my own defense mode.

So I de-installed it again.

Please Korb and Mitchelson could you also put in screenprints in English. I realise that Chinese adresses a large perventage of the world population, but it is to difficult for me.

Would you pls try this one http://www.eqspywatch.com/download/EQSysSecureSetup.exe ,the official 3.3version just released 2 days ago, which may support english language better.
The problem you mentioned above may be related to "windows theme" , I guess.

 

Not bad, downloading now. Gonna give it a whirl. So what's in the offing for the next versions?
I'm always asking like that in case it's popularity really takes off

 

Seems a interesting program, but I will wait for a later version...

 

I don't know about the rest of you who tried this yet but it is seems to me a fairly aggressive HIPS and i hope i don't have to bite my tongue but i kind of like it. As an aside the alpha blending feature is right up my alley but i also notice it's rather strict in it's behavior too which is always a plus.

Anyone challenge it yet with any malware/demos to see how it stacks up. I hope to get around to that myself soon but am real curious about this new entry to this type of shielding technology we got floating around here now.

Hello KORB! Thanks for introducing this to the forums. I see it offers quite a lot of vital data & additional information plus the m$ integrity check is an interesting feature. Super stable with my current config is another benefit i hope more peeps get to experience for their own selves.

 

iam currently using ssm pro.can enyone coment on how this stacks up to ssm pro.iam looking for something with more of a file protection side to it.and i think this mite fit the bill.....

 

hi mitchelson, yes the highlighted button is due to my theme.so i reset to my default window and it work fine. i install the official one from the website,not the one you provided.but i'm using the ruleset that you provided that make the fonts unreadable.i did a reinstall with the default rule,and it is ok.so i thought maybe the new ruleset you provided is not supported.

btw, eqsecure very aggressive,when i used mitchelson's ruleset.it blocked powershadow driver and downloader manager.i still can't figured out which rule exactly block them as i can't read the font as you saw in my screen shot under registry rules.

hoping mitchelson your copy of eqsecure is working correctly so can give us some more info.meanwhile i uninstall it first

Very similar to SSM pro. but without network control.and i find that SSM pro give you more option when you right click on the process. EQsecure, haven't really play due to fonts issues. but first look it very aggressive when it block certain process(with ruleset by mitchelson) with default ruletset it will promt you for action via a popup.sorry,at this stage i'm not expect at it.maybe shall let mitchelson give more info. eagerly waiting
