Good. I'm still using the browser almost exclusively and find it to suit me as well as others browsers I've tried for my needs, even without add-ons. I haven't tried micropayments yet as I tend not to be an early adopter, especially when dealing with things I don't fully understand, like bitcoins and such. For now I'm willing to accept the ads Brave injects, a certain amount of unobtrusive ads doesn't bother me.

Please keep us updated as to how well it works for you. Thanks.
It seems to be getting hard to explain this concept to the "entitlement generation" who doesn't seem to understand that most systems need some kind of input to remain sustainable indefinitely, especially as more and more people learn to game the system. Not that I'm above using ad blockers and such myself (as long as they're free of course. :D )

I have been testing this browser, it is a Chrome hybrid so the one thing that bugs me is you can't use Chrome extensions in it, which gives me the feeling the author wants to control the security level of this browser kind of like those ad blockers that block ads except the ones the ad blocker creators want you to see.

Is it still a bare bones browser? No ability to install extensions is not acceptable, what a a joke. I tried to install it virtualized via Sandboxie, but it was not possible.

It has several security ones builtin an adblocker, script blocker, anti-phishing, and https everywhere and you can install a password manager from a list of supported ones, other than that no extensions.

I have not tried installing it in Sandboxie but I do run it in Sandboxie no problem.

I have been using Brave on my Android tablet for a few weeks now and am very pleased with it. I had been using Firefox and found that it was always crashing. So far Brave has been very fast, stable and not crashed whilst providing great privacy and security.

Brave connects back to Amazon. So it may accept only extensions that don't connect back to Google Store. If this is the case then it will take sometime to have such extensions.

I'm running it inside Sandboxie without problem so far

What do you mean with "connects back to Amazon", I thought it was supposed to protect you from tracking.

You can probably only install it outside the sandbox, but I'm not willing to do that. I also noticed that the download size is 100 MB, a lot bigger than other browsers like Vivaldi, I wonder what's up with this.

I've just downloaded Brave and I'm running it sandboxed.
So far, I like it. I've checked it for DNS leaks - no issues, but when I try to check for WebRTC leaks while Brave is sandboxed, it always crashes.
    Without Sandboxie, Brave is leaking.

When Brave starts up it connects back to Amazon. And yes you can run it sandboxed by Sandboxie

No WebRTC leakage on my part when sandboxed by Sandboxie and running VPN. No sandboxed no WebRTC leak. Checked using ipleak.net

    Here is what's strange.
I've tried Sandboxed Brave with three different VPN's and it always crashed(!) when checking for WebRTC leaks.
Not sandboxed Brave has not crashed, but several DNS leak tests and WebRTC leak test indicated leaks.

    Also.
I've not found any indication that Ccleaner or Wise Care, or Privazer, or any other cleaner knows about Brave's history, cache, etc...
    What app/software is cleaning Brave?

If you go to Security you can set to clean the followings when you closed Brave

    a) Browsing history
    b) Download history
    c) Cached images and files
    d) All site cookies
    e) Autocomplete data
    f) Autofill data
    g) Saved site settings and permissions

Yes, I know about Brave's "internal cleaning" mechanism.
I'm trying to get a third party cleaning tool to make sure about that Brave's Internal cleaning.
Is it possible to install "self-destructing cookies" or "click&clean" for Brave?

    Here is the deal.

I've visited "wilderssecurity forum" and read one thread, "Feds Want 15 Full Google, Microsoft And Yahoo Email Accounts".
    Next.
I've cleaned all my history - everything/clear all browsing data now - from Brave, but I did not(!) restart Brave.
    Next.
I opened a Private Tab and went to a different web-site.
After that, I've cleaned Brave the same way but I did not(!) restart Brave.
    And the last thing.
When I started typing feds, immediately my browsing history appeared.

    In short.

Unless you close and re-start(!) Brave, all your browsing history, cache, cookies, etc... remain intact!
And it's really unexeptable for me.

Yah, tested it and confirm what you said. But that's how it works and Brave already said to restart to clear all

Ok, just tested Chrome and Iridium (both latest version) and they are having the problem that upon closing and opening them the browsing history is still there. All running in Incognito mode by default. Maybe there is some bugs in the browsers.

Browsers which DON't retain the browsing history upon closure and re-open are FF, WaterFox, Ungoogled Chromium and Epic Privacy Browser.

And that's my point about "safe" browsers running in Incognito mode.

Why on earth is it 136MB big? Perhaps I will still check it out, but last time I checked it was extremely bare bones.
