    Basic question:
To see if my system works better using my secondary snapshot, do I right click on the secondary and choose "boot to snapshot"? Or do I have to do it when booting up?

Also, once I'm booted up in the secondary snapshot, will my primary snapshot still be the one that's primary today (before booting to the secondary?) or will what is listed now as my secondary become the primary once booted up?

You can boot into the Secondary using either method, they both work.

The names of the Snapshots never change no matter which one you are booted into, if you boot yourself into the Secondary it will still be called the Secondary. Have fun.
