Id like to recreate a bootable media usb hdd. I have a soyo 20gig pocket drive, smaller than a cig pack, and Id like to make it bootable and have images on it so that I can carry it onsite.

Ive yet to find a way to make the drive the acronis bootable device..

    any suggestions?

    Hello VPTECH,

I don't recall anyone having success with bootable recue media plus TI image on an external USB HD. However, would a bootable rescue DVD plus image be a suitable compromise for you? If so check out this previous thread titled <How to create bootable rescue DVD(s):>. This contains three methods; wdormann's original and my updated/modified version using WinISO or my recent alternative using UltraISO.

    Regards

    Hello VPTECH,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We regret to inform you that current version of Acronis True Image doesn't support hard drives as Acronis Bootable Rescue Media. However, you may try to make it though we cannot guarantee that it will work. The devices that will work are CDs and floppies. You may create Acronis Bootable Media on them without any risk.

    Thank you.
