Is a bootable disk made from TrueImage unique to the machine it's made from? Or, is it a generic bootable disk?

It looks like I have a dead hard drive and now I've realized that I didn't make a new bootable disk with version 11 (which I just purchased). Now, my version 10 bootable disk doesn't recognize the version 11 backups.

The Rescue CD is not dependent on the computer on which it was created. You can install TI on another computer and create the CD. However, you should then uninstall TI from the other computer unless you have a license for it on that computer.

TI 11 will use version 10 and 11 images (and probably 9). TI 10 can't use version 11 images, as you found out.

With every install of a new upgrade or new version, be sure and create a new Rescue CD. Retain the Rescue CD for each prior version. It is always a good practice to write version number, build number plus serial number on each CD based on its content. Most are backwards compatible to the last prior version.
