The DD manual in section A.6 (page 110) states that XP can be booted from a logical partition.

    HOW?

That part is missing from the manual.

When I restore a primary partition TI wants to make it logical. So I allow it to do so, install OSS and the OS does not appear, only partitions restored as primary show as bootable.

    Hello Jeff,

Thank you for choosing Acronis System Utilites.

Could you please create Acronis Report in the way described at Acronis Help Post after you restore the partition and send it to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread? We will certainly help you to find the solution.

    Thank you.
