boot up message problem

    hello, My question is I installed the paragon total defrag that was offered by give away of the day, didn't like it so I did uninstall, now though when I boot system,during boot up get window that says paragon program not found auto check canceled. how does one go about getting rid of this message? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

    You need to update your MBR. If you have Windows installation disk, boot to the command prompt window and fix the mbr.

    If you have a recovery disk from another Paragon program ie Drive Backup or Partition Manager, boot to the CD, locate your "Basic Hard Disk 0" right click and update MBR.

    you mean just uninstalling this garbage software results in having to go thru such measures? seems somewhat extreme wouldn't you say? I went to recovery console and the caution messages there made me somewhat leery what command would you suggest entering? I tried"fixmbr" and that's when it displayed messages about boot log file wasn't standard or was invalid and proceeding could cause several different problems ranging from being unable to access info on drive etc. any further thoughts? and one can rest assured I won't try any paragon software programs again if just uninstalling them causes this kind of problems
