Found this in an old thread "The latest leapfrog lite/workstation/server do not need it since they recognize the 7's bootsector." by our good friend Pandlouk. Am I to understand that if I purchase a new Windows 7 pc, I will not need to do that replace the boot record trick anymore, that I can just install the greatest software program of all time directly on top of the Windows 7 master boot?

    Thanks,
    Acadia

    Hi Acadia,

yes I was referring FirstDefense Lite/workstation/server. Not to the FD-ISR.

About the bootsector. It is not anything to worry about both the method with the vista bootsector replacement and a normal installation (eg with the FD-lite) will overwrite the existing microsoft bootsector and replace it with the FD bootsector.
