Hello since i like Linux mint so much i would like to install it along my windows system on a single drive. at present i just boot to it from a usb stick. if i click to install is it automatically added to the windows boot menu. current my boot is either windows or marcruim reflect. thanks
boredog, No, you will get a Grub2 boot menu after Mint is installed. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/thr...data-linux-forgot-how-to.391370/#post-2646158
ok so when i get the grub boot menu, i can still select windows or marcruim?/ itman , when i clicked on the install icon on my desktop it gave me options i did not understand. the first option was to delete everything on my hard drive first. in mint you don't get the option to install along side of windows.
An alternative 'obscure' method courtesy of Brian K that allows you to have both Win 10 and Mint partitions and retain Windows Boot Manager for when you want to load windows. Not for everyone (maybe even anyone ) but I for completeness it is an option for the few tyat are as mad as me. Regards
