I just purchased TI 8.0 yesterday and registered it. I am evaluating it for a corporate use. It looks (almost) like it will do just what we need to. We have stand alone PCs in an embedded environment (OS/2 and Win XP) not connected to a network.

We would like to have a single disc for our manufacturing department that contains the boot disc and the image. Is there a way to add the image to the boot cd without a lot of hassle?

Is there an automated restore function on the boot or a script that can be run at boot?

Currently we are using ghost and booting from a DOS cd and running a batch file to restore it. Ghost is expensive and I figure we could OEM ATI at a much more economical rate. We would probably create a restore partition on each disk to insure it could be recovered if it had a problem in the field.

    Thanks,

    Hello Dennis_H,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Just insert Bootable Rescue CD in the CD burner and proceed with the image creation on this CD. Everything should work fine in this case.

Please also note that creation of Bootable Rescue Media on DVD is not officially supported, but you can take a look at this previous thread already mentioned by CRY.

As for your second question, I'm afraid that there is no such "automated restore function" at the moment and you will always need to pass all the steps of the Restore Image wizard (Recovey wizard for version 9.0) in order to restore your image.

However, since you are interested in the OEM solution then I advice you to send a letter describing your issue to support@acronis.com. We will try to provide you with the most suitable solution.

    Thank you.
