Ok, let me get this straight: you absolutely love the music of a particular rock or pop group, they are your all time favorite group, but since you don't like the design of their latest album cover (sorry, being a baby-boomer I still think in terms of album covers), you decide that you are not going to purchase the album?

    O. K. well let me add this little tid bit too. I have checked all other security on two machines. No EZ AV update since the 24th. No update on Adware; early this evening check or on SpyBot, not on Command either since the 23rd. No liveupdates on Norton Personal firewall. Hmmm.

I guess some folks think nasties take off for the holidays. No not really. Flashy sites. Give me dedication anytime over flash. BoClean... an update nearly every single day since Christmas.

    I rest my case :D

Can we get off the topic of flash. I never say the word flash in my orginal post. I meant the fonts and style of table and Layout of website is very old style.

I change to TH because of BO UI, not website. Since i rate BO roughly = to TH then i choose the Prettier UI.

Some people say UI and website don't sell.... That is because you are all Technies, What about those general Public? ( But looking at another side, all those software general public use tends to be shite.......Norton?? )

Anyway i don't think there is much to discuss. All i was pointing out was trying to help BOclean.

Have a good day and happy new year. ^^

Yes..well we would like to know if you really purchased BOClean in the first place and now also bought TH, since we can not figure out why the general public would throw away there money like that ..just on an IU thingie. ;)

I have never seen a user do that. You will be the first since if you had BOClean and used it with no problem that you have ever posted..and it is a fact you could run them both if you set them up correctly. So you started the thread and now the ball is in your court.

Nothing to do with techie..has to do with common sense.

Isn't that a bit heavy-handed? NOT your style at all.

Ah, the view from Mount Olympus must be grand this time of year. ;)

Well well John, I don't know why you posted this here; but you, who are keeping such a big history of things, should have known that the DCS-guys are usually taking a break between Christmas and NewYear.
Everyone who uses TDS-3 for some years, knows that.

So : did you have any other intention by posting that?

Just to make my personal view clear:
I'm fine with the BOClean site !!!
For me there is no need to change it.

    Jan,
licenced user of BOClean, TDS-3, TrojanHunter, The Cleaner, Tauscan.
(and yes, I did pay for them).

    Fellow Creatures,
I stand firmly by my post #10. ;)

Let me clear up a possible misunderstanding in post #33. I was not slamming other security products but I was very much admiring 'Kevin and Company's" dedication to protecting his users. :)

Wow FanJ your PC security budget is much more then I could ever hope for. I will try to remember this in case I need some opinion or help. ;)

It is not the high and mighty from Mount Olympus sitting here my two friends..but rather the low and humble who uses none of the programs you listed..yet visits site that would whack most silly without all the third party AV,AT,Antispyware programs..and I can do that since I know what they do and how to contain them with the private software and sandboxes I do run.

Nevertheless.. :D I help many people understand how to use those Security Applications just like you have over the years.

I think they are all great products..even TDS..and if you buy them..use them..and read their manual and every thing you can get you hands on to get the best performance from each.

BOClean did not go on Vacation over the Holiday.. that is a fact. ;) Neither did the General public..

    Happy New year ;)

Websites are marketing tools at the core. So shouldn't it be utilized to it's fullest?

I do have to admit, if it wasn't for extensive word of mouth recommendations, I would be very reluctant to give BOClean a try.
Because yes, a good number of faulty sham products have not so professional websites.
A good website can only help, not hurt. But of course, if word of mouth is what they want to rely on, then a site is minimized.

Usually the best products/services are found by word of mouth. It's difficult to judge a product from a review as these reviews can be somewhat biased because the reviewer could be affiliated to the product. Most of what i use is from word of mouth. I would expect that if it wasn't for users recommendation's then i'd probably be using something much more commercialised than what i currently have. KAV, NOD32, Regrun, BOClean. I've never seen any of these on a shelf in a shop in the UK. Maybe you can get these products off the shelf in the USA but i'd be surprised.

I get the feeling that this thread would have better been named, "Dog Ugly Software that Works Better than Anything"

The list would be a long one.

Not that BOClean or its Web site is dog ugly, but fashion designers they aren't. neither am I come to think of it. But I do know I prefer denim to silk on a daily basis. And BOClean is similarly utilitarian. Come to think of it, one of the prettiest GUIs going that I know of is for a product that doesn't work right most of the time (I think it is called Widnows  )

    Nice James Madison thread.

to change because you didn't like the design of the PSC website. I don't know what to say, words fail me...

    LOL!! ...
I guess this is the mentality that allows a sleak, flash-driven site to install a ton of third party cookies and run a multitude of Active X Controls ... all while the user is busy watching the show ... sure i would love to download your combo spykiller-toolbar ... with a site like this it has to be great.:D

My guess is ... he/she is a youngster.
