    Hi all at Wilders !

Today while browsing BBC web site, and clicking on a video clip (Tony Hancock's Half Hour), I was prompted to download the latest version of Realplayer (10.5 with Hormony Technology). After downloading and installing, BOclean cut in with the following :

    11/20/2005 21:39:31: C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\REAL\WEATHE~1\MINIBU~1.DLL
Trojan horse was found in above file
    MINIBUG3 TROJAN STOPPED by BOCLEAN!
Active trojan horse was shut down. System now safe.
Trojan horse was removed, registry cleaned.

Was this really a Trojan or a FP ?....I believed Realplayer was a legit Site/programme....but if it's installing Trojans then....o_O?!!!!

    Advice PLEASE !!!!

    o_O

Some info on Realplayer (and what it contains):

I suggest you use Realtime Alternative instead:

Your reply was a non sequitur. The alert the OP saw was due to an attempt to install WeatherBug:

    http://www.ggu.edu/help/streaming_media/realplayer_instructions/windows_realplayer_instructions

You should be able to uncheck the option to install WeatherBug.

Regarding Real Alternative: It doesn't work with all forms of Real media.
