Are they still using dot net? If so, does it still take a looong time to load? If so I wouldn't use this program if they PAID me to use it. :cautious:

I sure hope that 7 samples are not the deciding factor.. That would be naive.

Well according to their own promo -http://173.14.219.57:9000/SeventyThreatLiveVideoChallenge/pages/default.aspx-

Panda Cloud Antivirus Free is just as effective, like bluepoint 2010 also 14 infections. Some marketing gig to shoot yourself in the foot :D

Trialed latest version of Bluepoint Security and after carefully following its instructions it failed to detect 2 trojans and allowed them to run. This file is a freely available download I've used as a test for almost two years. Avira, MSE, and several others find it but Avast and other so-called good AV's continue to miss them. I can't tell you what I use because of forum rules (good ones at that) but I will tell you that even though all antiviruses and antimalware products will miss an occasional baddie, after almost two years it seems that all premium products would have caught on by now.

And no, I will not submit a sample because both trojans are detected by some AVs both in Jotti and VirusTotal. Besides, I would have to find another "long in the tooth" downloadable that I can use as a qualifier.

No doubt, this post will bring on fanboys and other experts declaring foul. But I call 'em as I see 'em.

I have one file like that and been using it for five years. of course because of forum rules I can't give any details but so called good AV's Avira, MSE and several others are missing it even as we speak. Quite a shock really.
On the other hand, I tested this file with BluePoint and it did find it and blocked it.
All I can say is that Avast and Comodo (and others) finds that one as well.

Ahhh Sour man . You suck ! I love BluePoint . It detects EVERYTHING !!!!:D I am TEASING you . I hope it came over well .? I just wanted to give you some fanboy crap . I HATE fanboys as they provide nothing unbiased . bleh ! I have no idea how good this thing is . I hear good and bad . And since I have not had the time to download and play , I will not but even if the price is good . Bluepoint should have let folks no about this . If I knew about it , I would have played with it awhile so I could make a rational decision .

Sour . I hope you took my opening comment in stride . I ASSURE you I was teasing !
