Bleachbit is similar to CCleaner that is true ,but it cleans a lot more and imports the cleaners. Unlike CCleaner where you need to use CCleaner enhancer to do so. I use both.

Use it with caution: I chose normal options, as normally I use in Ccleaner and Wise Care365, and Bleachbit deleted most part of my bookmarks in Opera and all Speed Dial.

Which version of opera were you using? Add so which cleaners did you select in bleachbit?

Opera 12,6, the last with bookmarks. Sorry, I restored a disk image, now I can't say which cleaners, but I read before selecting, and which I chose was usually cleaner, nothing new respect other programs..

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce the deletion. I installed Opera 12.16, added new bookmarks and speed dial, ran BleachBit with with all Opera cleaners checked, and everything I added was still there.

Looks nice. Unfortunately, it doesn't clean Opera 17 at the moment so I use CCleaner for that task...

Looks like a few version #s were skipped, going from 0.9.6 to 1.0.

Anyone upgrade over the top without issues?

How do you use it? Which check-boxes do you check (or which do you not check)?

Personally, I check all cleaners except "Free disk space" and "Update uninstallers". Also the browser cleaners are up to your discretion. You may or may not want to clean cookies or history for example.

Updated a couple computers today, thanks for the heads up, moontan.
Regarding upgrading over top of existing versions, the 1.0 installer detects the old version and asks if I wanted it removed. Yes. :)
    Nice program.
I use it in tandem with CCleaner.

Wonder what I'm missing by using the version provided by Linux Mint Maya's default repositories.

@J_L - Many of the enhancements are to fix cleaners of existing programs (due to newer versions or bugs in in the cleaners themselves) or adding cleaners for new programs. There's also the occasional bugfixes for BleachBit too.

For newer versions of BleachBit, you can always install the deb file or find a PPA with BleachBit packages.
