Rumor has it that he just has it down for a big update, but there's no solid info that I've found, so who knows? :(

An almost full site mirror. Sadly, most images don't work, external links don't work (for now, not much time to fix; I have to study for my five upcoming exams), and some pages couldn't be found. (I used Archive.org)

Took me quite a while to clean everything up and fix the links. (Around 5 hours)

As the notice says on the top and bottom of every page I managed to get:

Wow Kye, very nice job, thanks for putting the time into that! I am sure many people will appreciate it, as BV’s site is defiantly a most useful resource.

    Thank you Matt ^_^

You can say I'm a sort of procrastinator when it comes to school...*cough*

I hope Black Viper won't mind this mirror. I tried to make sure every single page I got had the Mirror notice in the header and footer so that it doesn't seem like it's just a rip of his site without any credit due. This is what consumed so much of my time o_O

Maybe this quote can help you:

    Thanks Firecat!

I am going to E-Mail Black Viper (if it helps) notifying him of what I'm doing.

EDIT: I've emailed him and the mirror is back up :)

    Hello Kye-U,

The absence of the BV site has set off a lot of speculation as to whether the BV site will come back and debates about the merits/downside of Services tweaking, an example: http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=45468

Do you have any info as to what BV's intentions are?

    Regards - Charles

ZCV, I believe Services tweaking is beneficial.

I mean, who'd want UPnP and Messenger and Remote Registry set to Automatic?

Also, for those calling Black Viper, "QuackViper":

    http://kye-u.hopto.org/mirror/blackviper/Admin/legal.htm

They don't understand how a computer works and should probably learn a bit more before attempting to tweak it. They have no right assigning a silly alias to Black Viper just because they don't know how to use a computer.

I have no information on the BlackViper.com domain issue: whether it would come back or not. I'm just a guy who decided to preserve the site that helped me so much in getting more control over my computer. I have no connections to Black Viper. (You can call me a supporter if you want)

The topic at Broadband Reports got closed due to some people going off-topic.

So far, for the mirror, I have added a few more pages that were previously missing, added missing thumbnail images and updated the main page.
