    Bitdefender working hard today.
    Normally 1000 signatures a day added.
    Today nearly 2000 allready,plus 2 product updates

    I see a typo when getting on-access messages :eek: Abart from that it seems slower then before...
    (testing the trial under VMware...)

    As I recall, they have been adding a lot last weeks. According to my calculation, they now have more signatures than there are virusses. Great job guys...


    .... sorry, not trying to offend, but I don´t see the added value of this tread... :oops:

    Sorry,i just noticed nod kav avast etc are mostly mentioned on this forum.

    No need to apologize for you, I'm to blame.
    Bitdefender is defended here too, in fact I recommend Linuxdefender quite regularly ;)

    BitDefender is a nice AV - but I found it a bit heavy. Nice detection and nice heuristics too.

    I have just become a bit more familiar with Bitdefender via their online scan service. It actually detected two bonafide pieces of malware (more annoying than dangerous) that KAV, Ewido, TDS-3, TrojanHunter, Giant AS, and NOD32 did not. That is pretty good in my book. Definitely a product that I will be watching.
