Your question is absolutely valid, but I think you need to look at it all in a bigger perspective.

What purpose will a tool like this or McAfee's Stinger fill for anyone if there's already tools like Hitman Pro and Malwarebytes?

For example the simple fact that hardly any average pc user outside the Netherlands has ever heard of the name Hitman Pro but they might know McAfee. Also, it is quite useful for companies like McAfee and BitDefender for troubleshooting, it is quite silly that you have to recommend third-party software while troubleshooting with your customers.
