    Malicious Software Removal Tool and antivirus should take care of all the top hundred e-threats so
    what's the need for a "limited" scanner.

    Well theres no harm in keeping a removal tool for free;)

    For example the simple fact that hardly any average pc user outside the Netherlands has ever heard of the name Hitman Pro but they might know McAfee. Also, it is quite useful for companies like McAfee and BitDefender for troubleshooting, it is quite silly that you have to recommend third-party software while troubleshooting with your customers.
