Would you care to explain why comodo software should not be used..?
I'm safe and secure on public free wifi with BDAV.
I can't find the post I was repying to. Sometimes the Wilders forum software is crazy.
I don't know what happen to the post I was replying to about Comodo.
Well if it did show a notice it must have been while I was gaming (fullscreen) and hence covered. I don't know if there's a better way it could have been handled, though it could have least shown me a reminder after exiting fullscreen.
Yeah, quoting Rush will do that to ya. First goes your mind...then goes your waistline...then the nonsensical, drug-induced babbling sets in.
Try being nonpolitical...like the rest of us. This is a security forum after all.
Thank you, it works now.
Apparently BAF decided to crash right as the SP portion of Modern Warfare 2 (COD) wasn't running anymore; I quit the software. No anti-hack system like PunkBuster is involved.
Just a heads up.
What does this new product update consist of?
The newest one from today.
I still have .946 here. Maybe a fix for the Log button in the next update?
It very well could be. I opened up the GUI and it said there was a product update but I haven't restarted yet.
Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition 188.8.131.527
06 June 2013
well bd free av is currently my favorite choice for free av, but it's rather unbelievable that such basic features are taking so long to add when they should have been available since the 1st version.
Do you have to download and install manually? BD Free .946 just did an update, but apparently no program update occurred. I thought this stuff was supposed to be done automatically by the program?
Fake changelogs and fake news by both Softpedia and Downloadcrew? Who copied who? There's no such a version available for download, nor the changelog on the BitDefender forums.
The same for me.
I saw the update (947) on above links, although to my surprise I noticed that there was nothing in BD Forum Changelog thread:
Anyway, I decided to perform a clean install.
New installer (947?) downloaded and run.... and surprise, surprise:
Once again the 184.108.40.2066 was present!!!!
I tried the same with the one from Softpedia. Still version 946. I noticed in the changelog for 947 it says it works with COMODO Firewall now
Fake changelogs and fake news from all the web?
or a Bidefender update withdrawal?
With Bitdefender Antivirus Free installed, have any of you experienced a bit of a delay on Windows 8 startup?
I'm a PC Tech and I'm getting many of my clients complaining about this.
I did about 30 seconds delay.
Super slow boot times for me on Windows XP
I am thinking about buying a new Laptop (My 1st ever Laptop) in the near future. If I do make the purchase, it will be something like: Intel Core i5, 8 GB RAM, SATA hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
Do you think that Bitdefender Antivirus Free will be a good match for my new Laptop?
Thanks in Advance.
If the previous posts of a slow boot are true then perhaps you should invest in a SSD for your laptop
Or ditch this for a lighter AV...
Its real update. Posted on BD Forum by Rampant
Who confirms that?
A simple post on BD Forum written by someone called Pampant who it's just a BD Forum user?
There is nothing official on BD Forum Changelog thread:
radio silence from Iulika here also...............
