"With Bitdefender Hypervisor Introspection, Bitdefender becomes the first, and currently the only, security vendor to offer a commercial hypervisor-based security solution." Itman: Do you know what extra features they have that no other vendors offer ? See https://www.eset.com/us/business/virtualization-security/ Perhaps it's Citrix API support but that was not clearly stated in the paragraph with the statement.
According to XEN, this is Intel EPT/ AMD RVI chip specific: https://wiki.xenproject.org/wiki/Virtual_Machine_Introspection .
I guess Kaspersky already uses his own hypervisor for sometime ago... in fact if You enable Microsoft HyperV feature, Kaspersky will warn You and "Safe Mode" browser protection maybe be affected... I did it and got the warn, and some K. dev said me in K forum that only 1 HyperV can be active in Windows (10)...
HyperV can only be active on PCs that have it built into the BIOS and turned on. If you don't have hardware-enabled HyperV, you're out of luck.
To clarify, as I understand this: Hyper-V is included in several Windows 10 editions. To use it, the firmware and the CPU must be compatible con virtualization, and the corresponding firmware setting must be enabled. But this is a general virtualization setting, not exclusive to Hyper-V, and Hyper-V is not "built" into the firmware, but into Windows.
