Don't know. Nobody, does in the sense of KNOWING! BTW best does not exist, just like a point in time doesn't:D

You will get lots of opinions, bias, advocates, defenders of the package they represent, references to magazine articles etc etc. So you need to answer a simple to ask but difficult to answer question:

What are the criteria you have in mind for selecting the "best" from among the suites available?

When you have that list for your setup then you can begin to select one.

My bias is don't do it. Use a mix and match approach. But to start the ball for you:

    1) must have a H/W FW or good router up front even on a single PC
    2) Must have In/Out software FW
    3) Must have one of the top 5 AV products as part of suite
    4) Must have a top flight ASW product
    5) Must be updated rapidly (hours) for outbreaks
    6) Must deal with memory and rootkits as well
    7) Must have solid on line vendor support
 Must not clash with your other on demand security software
    9) Must be easy to install

Other stuff like email scanning are secondary:rolleyes:

As mentioned in another thread, Panda appears to be in the process of releasing a detection upgrade to their anti-virus/suites. Panda is calling it "MegaDetection". How much of an improvement (if any) to their malware detection remains to be seen.

right, in the system tray theres a panda. the intereface is bare and get's straight to the point, go to Pandas website to see the features. has everything, you cannot disable individual components (which is good)

scans memory and very fast and deep scan.

so far, beats KIS. also it offers "Bulletins" which informs you on the latest versions, viruses, spyware, malware etc etc.

    damn its great.

i tryed it on my old pc upstairs and was quite impressed with it.
after ages of hearing the old versions used to be very bloated and resource hogs its nice to try the light 2007 version.
the panda icon is quite cute:D
i still dont know why the AV only needs IE5.5 but the secuiryt suite only needs IE5.01

I do not think Nis 2007 sucks at all i have been running it for a long time on vista and i see no slow downs at all. I have Kis and Nod and they are both very good programs but Norton runs so well i see no reason not to use it.Norton might suck for you but not every one.
