Best Free POP Email Account Application For Windows 8/8.1

What is the best free POP email option for Windows 8/8.1?

Your constructive opinions are welcome.

 

outlook/hotmail via Thunderbird.

outlook/hotmail also offers IMAP.

 

Curious... Must you use POP? MS considers it technology past it's time, thus the reason it's not in Windows 8/8.1.

 

When your ISP only offers POP, then I guess the answer is "Yes".
I do believe that some now use IMAP.

 

I'd be inclined to recommend Mozilla Thunderbird.

I'm a HUGE Mozilla Firefox fan, so I think your recommendations for Mozilla Thunderbird is the way to go.

I would go with Eudora very powerful filtering.
People seem to have got it running in win7 64bit and win8.
I just use it in XP ATM

There is a email help group as well which is useful

 

I'd say Windows Live Mail.
