    Hello,

please excuse if I use wrong True Image terms, I have to re-translate them. (Is there an English manual I could download? I didn't find one.)

I want True Image 10.0 to execute a command (an antivirus scan) before creating a backup and shutting down the PC at last. I selected "Backup Options" -> "Before/After Commands" and entered the command line ""C:\Programme\AntiVir PersonalEdition Premium\avcmd.exe"" and the arguments "-allfiles -z -r1 -rfAVReport_?d?m?y.txt -s C:\*". I checked the command and the antivirus scan run normally. Then I scheduled the backup to run when the PC shuts down. Both didn't run, neither the antivirus program nor the True Image backup. Why?

    Regards,

    Anselm

Yesterday evening it run, but the antivirus program found some suspicious files. Perhaps it's not a True Image problem. I'll watch it.

    Pre/post commands

    Hello,

I have a new problem using the pre/post commands. I enter a command and some arguments as shown below:
    http://www.anjora.de/muster/true_image_pre_post_1.jpg
After clicking OK and calling the pre/post commands again my entries are shown like that:
    http://www.anjora.de/muster/true_image_pre_post_2.jpg
If I try to modify the pre/post commands the command entry has gone:
    http://www.anjora.de/muster/true_image_pre_post_3.jpg
When clicking OK a message says that the command field is empty:
    http://www.anjora.de/muster/true_image_pre_post_5.jpg
The summary of a scheduled backup shows the command "*before-process" instead of the entered command line:

    What's wrong? o_O

I have to continue my monologue:

Yesterday evening my scheduled task run. It looks like True Image prefers pre/post commands entered in task schedules and not in the backup options. The result: Although I unchecked "Abort operation when a command failes" (re-translated) True Image run the third-party antivirus program but not the backup. Excerpt of the report:

(A child process ended with code 1. Execution of user command failed. Operation aborted with failures.)

Step by step my hope for an answer and for virus scanning before True Image backups disappears.

    Hello Anselm,

Please try creating a batch file of the desired command(s) instead.

If the issue persists, please submit a request for technical support. Attach the screenshots and the batch file to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.

    Hello,
That's the solution! Now finally both, virus scan and backup, can run by night without wasting my time.

    Thank you very much.
