Backup solution for two servers

    I have a location with two servers. One is running Windows 2003 x64 and Exchange 2007. It has a RD1000 removable cartridge drive for backup. The other is running Windows 2003 and has SQL.

    Currently the backup software is Backup Exec 11d which was purchased at the same time as the servers. It has lots of issues with the RD1000 as far as open file, rotation, brick level backup of exchange etc. According to what I am reading version 12.5 is supposed to fix the issues.

    Since buying 12.5 is almost as expensive as buying the full version I was looking for suggestions about what backup software works for them in a similar situation.
