For the PC challenged is today's backup/software, coming with external drives, reasonable replacement for Macrium? I do use Macrium paid. Recently my external desktop drive failed, so for the time being, I'm using an ancient Seagate USB drive. In the past I used to format any/all ext drives, & use Macrium. Are larger storage drives more apt to fail, than smaller capacity drives? EXT drives all about the same, get the best price, or is a brand mo better. I would think reliability longevity, would be, mostly equal across brands. AC powered, if you leave a usb drive plugged in isn't it always on, or can they switched off, without docking? It's been along time since I needed to shop for ext drive. ___________________ How's this for Karma - The day before, my new machine arrived I made a full backup (ext drive.). Then first thing installed security software, & start Macrium (backup new machine, Macrium did not see the backup drive, As it was dead CPR failed
