I am getting this error in Backup & Recovery 2014 Free, and am trying to fix it to make a backup. Tried external USB 2TB NTFS hard drive on USB port and as network drive with same error. Does anyone know how to fix this error?

    Operation failed
Selected disk does not support this operation

    Error source: Hard Disk Manager
    Error code: 0x11130

What disk are you using? If it is encrypted, this may be the cause of the error.

No, the disk is not encrypted. Just a normal NTFS file system.

I'm getting this exact same problem (found this topic by googling the error code). I'm swapping out the hard drive on my computer and trying to restore a complete image to the new, bigger hard drive with no luck (1TB to 4TB, the new hard drive has windows installed but nothing else). Any luck?

A possible cause of the problem: the 4 TB disk is a 4k disk (4096-byte physical and logical sectors), the 1 TB disk is not 4k.

I managed to successfully run the backup and recovery operations using removable USB hard drive media instead of a network mounted drive. So that is all I needed. I have not tried to restore an entire hard drive image, but it looks like it will work as expected. Robin A. has a good point about possible matching parameters when restoring an image, e.g. the destination hard drive usually has to be at least as big as the source hard drive was. It looks like a very stable product and I will be considering buying the full version.
