backing up to USB DVD Writer?

I am trying to backup to DVD and see that the BS that is needed in order to write directly to DVDs is too much to worry about so I figure I will just break them up into 4GB sections and burn those to DVD after as acronis suggests but when I get to the option for backup sizes for multi-sectional backups all that I see are CD sizes and nothing over 700MB.

Anybody know what I need to get this thing running right?

 

Click in the field and enter 4000 MB should do the trick.

Or better, don't tempt the ISO Gods and make the images < 2000 MB.

Now that I have the 2GB .tif files do I burn them with nero?

If so, do I burn them as .iso images or data files?
