backing up/restoring hard drive question

    Question... after making a back up of hard drive using sonic now software - and next I reformat the drive and after reinstalling the OS and drivers... would I still be able to use the previous back up restoring programs before reformat? It would save me a few hours reinstalling programs.....

    You may be able to restore the files that are those applications, but you will not be able to restore user settings and configuration. Most of those settings are stored in the registry of the old system.
