I am a little confused regarding the Dynamic Disks. I know you cannot backup and restore an entire Dynamic disk (Win 2003 Server). How would I go about backing up a system partion (on dynamic disk) and restoring the system partion so it is bootable?

I have not pruchased or used this software..

    thanks

    Hello spunkyvision,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

Current version of Acronis True Image doesn't support dynamic disks. But you may use Acronis True Image 8.0 Server or Acronis True Image 8.0 Enterprise Server. These programs allow you to create images of dynamic disks but can restore them only as basic. However it is not a problem since Windows can convert basic disks to dynamic without data loss.

To make the disk after restoration bootable you need to create image of the whole disk and choose all the partitions in the image during the restoration.

More information concerning Acronis True Image 8.0 Server and Acronis True Image 8.0 Enterprise Server is available at our site:

    Thank you.
