    Hi, can anyone help me?

I ran AVG today and it got this trojan. AVG can't remove or quarantine it. There are two infected files: pstorey.dll and psbasgw.dll.

So, I also ran AdAware (found nothing) and Hijackthis. Here's the log.

My broadband connection freezes sometimes. Does this have anything to do with this stupid trojan?

Oh, as you can see, there are some portuguese words in the log. That's because I'm Brazilian. Found this forum via Google. :)

Please, I need some information ASAP. Thanks! ;)

    Hello,

    Do this for me please:

    Run this online virus scan:
    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp

There is an autofix box you should check beside the scan button before you scan. Let me know the results:
    Name of Virus .......
    What file is infected ......
Where is this file (full path name)....

Thanks Taz. Here's what that online virus scan found:

TROJ.SMALL. Al. The file is msxmidi.exe, at C:\Windows\msxmidi.exe

    Only that.

    Hello,

If the online virus scan did not delete that file, then delete it.
Do a search for the file: C:\Windows\msxmidi.exe and this one if you find it:
    unpacked-msxmidi.exe

Run the oline scan again and let me know how it comes up.

I will be leaving tomarrow for vacation again and won't be home till thursday. I will check my email before I go to see if you responded yet. Otherwise I will get back to you on thursday.

Hi Taz, thank you very much for helping me.

So, I deleted that msxmidi.exe file, and did not find unpacked-msxmidi.exe.

I ran the online virus scan and found nothing.

But I've noticed that when my connection freezes (cannot open websites, neither connect to MSN Messenger or ICQ), ZoneAlarm keeps showing some download activity. The program that does that is "MegaZu MFC Application". I've blocked its access. Is that correct?

    Thank you again!

    Hello,

Your log looks good. I don't see anything in there that should be.

I will suggest that maybe if you are experiencing things with Zone Alarm that you post a new topic here:
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=31

That forum is for firewalls and I am sure they will be able to help you more than I. I don't use Zone Alarm and do not know much about it.
