    Hi there dear community,

there is likely a better place for this question. I don't know where that is.

I have backed up my C-partition. It's in an archive. I want to restore some files. I try to use the function "Restore Archive". I can select source and destination. When applying the pending changes i get this:

    Operation failed
    An unexpected situation occured
    error source: Paragon File Backup
    error code: 0x200004

A check of the archives integrity with the according function brought no insights. I know about using the Recovery CD, but that is, of course, no good solution.

    Help would be highly appreciated,
    thanks
    Uli

    hi again,

i also cant restore files with the Recovery CD. It only allows complete restore of whole partitions. Which of course would destroy my current system. Is that supposed to be my only choice?

Are you able to copy a file out of the image File Transfer Wizard?

Click where it says transfer files on the left pane under Tools.

    Browse to the Archive.

thanks for trying, but that feature does not look into existing archives. It looks into the files of the system to back them up or copy them. It does not allow to look into a huge chunk of several Gigabytes and select included files.
The wizard though says that one should browse to an archive, doubleclick and then select desired files. But exactly that does not work. You could only copy chunks of 4 Gigabyte files with names like "img_0_290411_234032610.005".

How exactly do i get access to files in archives?
