I purchased this program but I can't get it to run successfully on a Dell desktop. The error I get is

cannot save backup up C100000A Code 0

I searched for this error on the internet, but I didn't find much. One of the few threads I found seemed to indicate that this was caused by a conflict with Shadow Protect. But I do not have that program. Never heard of it until I started researching Time Machine.

I do have Norton Ghost 15, but I was told that it was compatible.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate so I have the native backup software, but I was also told that was not an issue.
I did have the Backup software that came with older versions of the Nero Burning Suite. I have never used it, so today I removed all the previous versions of Nero and now only have Nero 2015 which does not include the backup software. I think they sell it as a separate app now.

After I removed the Nero software, Time Machine seemed write different things in the log and took longer to decide that it wasn't going to create the back up.

Could it be that because Norton Ghost puts an icon in the task bar at start up and that prevents Time Machine from running? But then Time Machine puts an icon there too. Does that mean if I want to use Ghost that I won't be able to unless I stop time machine from running and visa versa? I will go into msconfig and uncheck the start up for Ghost and see if that works.

Could it be that because I have already saved Ghost backups to my J: drive, that Ghost thinks the drive belongs to it and won't allow Time Machine to write to it? But it writes the logs to the drive without any issues. Do I need a separate drive for the Time Machine backups?

I have looked through my programs and I cannot find any other backup software.

Thanks. Any help would be appreciated.

Kay914, best to ask these questions at their SUPPORT page ("Contact support" on the right hand side)... you should get answers pretty fast there.

I got it to work by uninstalling Norton Ghost 15. According to StorageCraft, the engine under Ghost is based on their older technology.
