Avira stopped updating?

    maybe it's true, but avira free is among the best as free antivirus

    however i prefer avira free instead of avg with its dangerous false positives (IMHO)

    Are you using these files as examples of what a really bad false positive would be,or are you saying Avira has really tagged these files?

    For that matter it is not impossible that they might be infected.
    the problem would be jumping the gun on delete or even quaranatine.

    That all depends on where they are located, the specific infection(s) on your pc, and if the FP's were sent to Avira for verification. Do you have any proof to substantiate your claim?
