Avira question

    Porbably to keep a track of the installed database, this makes it easier for Avira to know how many users are there and also to adjust upgrade server bandwidth accordingly.

    Very good answer and thank's for it.Problem is they still are very slow on updates for their free a/v,but as it is free and very good,I can live with these small problems,lol.ps, pick the correct hour of the day/night where you are located and the updates are not to bad/slow!

    When I used Avira free, the best time for update checking always seemed to be right after midnight their time. Always had good luck then...

    Schedule a few a day and make them invisible. You'll never know. :D
