I am considering the purchase of a license for Avira Premium Personal anti- virus.
Can an Avira user tell me if the email scanning ability in the premium version is capable of scanning SSL mail on ports 465 and 995?

I use Gmail as my POP3 & SMTP servers.

    Thanks

    Roger

    Hello

AVPE PREMIUM will come with a mail scanner for scanning pop3 unencrypted only.

No SSL support in actual versions.

Kaspersky 6 and 7 is the only AV that I am aware of that can scan encrypted ports, via broken certificate. I also used Gmail and found that KAV had no problems scanning mail.
