Usually I've used free AV software and if bought I used NOD32. For home though I've been trialing Avira's suite and have a quick question regarding the mailguard.

Is there a way to cofigure the suite so mailguard doesn't start or activate on boot? Everytime I boot I have to deactivate it, etc. I can disable it using MSConfig or Autoruns by turning off the processes/services related to it, but that also causes it to not show up at all in the suite.

If that's the only way then it's okay, I'm just wondering if there's a built in method.

you can uninstall the mailguard if you want. run the setup.exe in antivir folder and choose change. then you should be able to remove the mailguard
