I have used nod32 for some time and my licence has just expired. I have now decided to drop nod and am moving to avira. So can someone please tell me the difference between avira free and avira premium please?

I know there is no e-mail protection and no spyware/adware protection in the free version but that doesnt bother me as i already have a SAS pro licence and dont need e-mail protection. Apart from that, are there other differences in scan speed, updates, or detection?

Apart from the ones you list, IME, the biggest difference between the two is in the availability and speed of the Servers. The Premium ones are much superior.
