Been useing it for a few days now.No problems at all.Useing this setup my computer has never run faster.Full stealth on shields up.Now i have a problem because i was happy with the free antivirus, but i am that pleased with this i will have to pay because i want this when it comes out.Firewall is a bit too simple at the moment in expert mode but very easy to use,set to max and reply to allow ,allow and remember or deny, like zone alarm.

Nice and simple! I wonder whether this will be a free or paid upgrade to present Avira Premium users?

Is this the start of a new Avira Internet Suite? :doubt:

Could you expand upon what you find lacking with the firewall?

I've seen this also, must be a small "bug" or maybe the updater in BOClean is 100% the same as in 4.20...............including the designation.:)

I dont think the firewall will run on 98/se/me so that ones out ,and personally (just my opinion) i cant see avira supporting pre xp systems for that much longer either...at least not with premium versions.

Is this version with Firewall a free or paid upgrade for current AntiVir Premium users?

I had signed up but after I logged in and click Downloads there was nothing. I was wondering if this was normal or not.

    You should have received 2 emails;

    1. Which confirms/validates your registration.

    2. Approval of your request.

Then you should be able to download.

Thanks Blackcat. I got (1) but not (2) and I did understand they might not approve all applicants.

I signed up and grabbed the firewall premium edition. This is a real nice firewall in it, I like it.

Definitely a nice perk for Premium Owners when it launches!

well, it's indeed very good, but the scanner is not so fast, and morelikely when you scan a large collection of infected files and choose to delete all files, it scans very slow. :(

Scanned my C:\ disk in less than 4 minutes.......went like crazy and I have no infected files to scan, so I won't be able to judge that! I have the file scanner configured to scan 'Use smart extensions', so.....I'll do another scan later when configured to scan 'all files'. But, compared to other beta and non-beta products, I'm impressed so far. I would go for this program a full 100%, compared to F-Prot Beta!

This is a screendump from c:\ and has scanned with 'all files' configuration. Looks really 'speedy' to me!!!!

wow...only 6 minutes and 51 sec  It is speedy.... did you use Photoshop for editing? :D joking. :p For me it is slower... :(

EDIT: I"ve just performed a scan and took 8:52 . :D not so slow as I thought. :p

It all depends on the size and usage of your disk. How many files etc. etc. Did you also scan 'all files'?
