For some reason, Avira's system tray icon does not load. Their processes are working ( I checked task manager.)
When I reboot, it sometimes appears and sometimes doesn't.
Does anyone know how to fix this permanently? Ostuni method didn't work for me.

This happened to me a few times. The AntiVir tray icon is called "avgnt.exe". It is located in the AntiVir installation directory, and is set to run on startup. Sometimes it gets removed (at least for me). Just add the file back to your startup (I always do it through the registry, but startup folder should work just as well).

As for the Ostuni method, I'm not sure what that is. I apologize if I've just given you a duplicate explanation. However, this always worked for me.

    Hi,

    I had the same problem.
You have to create a shortcut and use this line.
(Maybe the path does not exactly match with your program folder)

    "C:\Program Files\Avira\AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic\avgnt.exe” /min /nosplash

Then add this shortcut to Start > Programs > Startup.

I also moved the original Registry startup to Run-
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run-]
But I am not quite sure if this is necessary. :cautious:

    Cheers
