After Norton Subscription expiring (Yeah I know norton is bad, but it did the job), I looked else where for a new AV software. Some friends recommended AVG Free Edition. I downloaded it, like it for the most part. Only problem is the email scanning, by default it only seems to work with outlook, so I grabbed the Personal Email Scanner plugin.

Figured out how to get it up and running. I use Mozilla Thunderbird. I can recieve messages fine, by when I set up the smtp server, it doesnt seem to be sending any authentication to the smtp. All my emails are getting bounced back saying relaying not allowed.

Anybody know what could be causing this, or how to get the plugin to authenticate me to the smtp server?

    Thanks :)

For AVG free edition you might check here for info on the mail plugin.

Wasnt able to find anything on that page.

I did find out though that Personal Email Scanner doesnt support/use the smtp login.
