its a close one, probably norton... but avg will run better on your machine, both will protect you easily, so its whichever you prefer.

you would be eligable to upgrade to 2007, so ive based my decision on that... if you choose to stick with 2006, id have to give my vote to avg.

i'm not sure if i am eligible to upgrade to 2007. Basically with BT broadband some packages come with BT online protection which is Norton antivirus 2006 and Norton personal firewall 2006.

erm, well i aint sure... find out if you can upgrade to 2007, if so, choose that.

if not, take the avg :)

either way, you wont be dissappointed.

well you could aways install avg for now and contact symantec to see if you can upgrade for norton 2007.
becuse avg is alot easier to uninstall.
if not you can stick with avg.
since the 2006 version wasnt meant to be that good.
but ive heard good things about the 2007 versions.
some of uninstall problems have been fixed with the 2007 version i would still not use it myself thou.

AVG AntiMalware is better than Norton . :thumb: It combines AVG (antivirus) and AVG (antispyware ... Ewido) . AVG will run better and will detect more :)

Norton 2007 is much better than 2006. It runs very well and take few resources...In detection we all know Norton is better than AVG.

yes but we all know that yellow for the main interface is horrible.
sure people say avg is ugly but atleast its nicer than yellow.
    and avg antimalware is good.
avg could go on on a pc that i own if i got more machines but symantec never would:thumbd:

you got to have the comparision of all the pros and cons.
i dont like the interface colour and not a big fan of the uninstall problems eiether.
lets face it syamantec ruined norton.
    it was good before that.
i think i had the last norton non symantec version for about a year before symantec took it over and i dont remember any problems.

Yes , tsilo . AVG antivirus is may be worse than Norton in detection according to most tests . However , AVG AntiMalware combines AVG antivirus and AVG antispyware (Ewido) and they both do detect more than Norton will . :)
