AVG Anti-Spayware really not portable (on an USB Stick) ?

As far as I noticed AVG Anti-Spyware is NOT portable.
I installed it and copied it to an USB Stick.

Unfortunately it does NOT run on another computer.
It misses a running service.

Is this correct or is there a portable version as well?

Other Anti-Spyware software (e.g. AdWare, SpyBot) is portable.

Can I start the missed service on the other computer manually ?

Are the newest signatures AUTOMATICALLY loaded from this commandline scanner from AVG/Ewidos server or do I have to tell him manually to retrieve them?

 

If you unzip it it includes all .dat files (till 2605.dat yet)

You can also download the Ewido microscan.exe (150K), when you run this one it automatically updates every time the database.

Hmm I have installed a version where the highest signature number is
2598.dat

How do I get the newest additional signature files into my folder?

Do I really have to download the complete last Ewido Anti-Spyware and install it?

I cannot believe it.

 

I tried both options I gave to you, just to be sure.
Believe it or not is not my problem.
Maybe the best thing for you is try these two options.
